About the position

As a Document Coordinator at Kongsberg Maritime, you will be the hub of the documentation process within our projects. You are responsible for ensuring that document deliveries to customers are correct, complete, and timely – and that all material meets contractual, internal, and external requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the documentation process within selected projects and will closely collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other support functions. You will monitor and follow up on document deliveries to customers and actively participate in the creation of documentation to ensure that deliveries are complete, accurate, and delivered on time. As a document coordinator, you will help ensure that the documentation in your projects adheres to the correct safety classifications and is managed according to the specified classification.

If necessary, the role may involve creating instructions and illustrations for user manuals for Kongsberg's various products. The manuals are structured according to internal standards and ASD S1000D 2.3. The work is carried out in XML-based tools (Ultra, CSDB).

About you

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technical documentation who wants to develop in a role where order, quality, and communication are central. You can express yourself clearly in both speech and writing and have a good ability to collaborate with different functions in the organization.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience or education in technical communication, documentation work, or equivalent
  • Interest in technology and marine products
  • Good ability to structure information in an understandable way
  • Experience working in IT/system environments

Meritorious:

  • Experience with XML-based tools and S1000D standard
  • Experience with Document Management Systems, such as ProArc
  • Knowledge in technical illustration
